Scholarships for Referee Training and Recertification

That’s right… If you are related to a GLWSL player, you can get reimbursed for your ref’ing classes.

GLWSL will reimburse females (age 13 and up) who wish to become certified as a USASA game official. Likewise, GLWSL will reimburse you for the costs of keeping your certification current and in good standing.

Why?

Because seeing women officiate games inspires current and future players. Just like seeing women play and coach inspires.

The referee training and certification classes that we’re talking about are those offered by the Michigan Soccer Association’s Referee Committee. Please note: GLWSL only reimburses for the class registration fee. We do not reimburse for other fees such as background checks.

    We need copies of the proof you passed the class (not just proof of you signing up), and (where relevant) proof that you reached out to Erich Shrewsbury and got an acknowledgement.
